“ Highly recommend. Detroit-style may not be the best kind of pizza for everyone, but this is the best Detroit-style pizza outside of the Midwest. Perfect golden, buttery and crisp edges; their specials have hit the mark every single time. The staff are wonderful and exceptionally kind and present. Now that they have some seating inside, I look forward to showing up and grabbing a glass of wine or beer and eating a few slices. ”
“ I order from this place pretty regularly. I love that they do predominantly most orders from online. I suggest subscribing to the email. I recommend this because of the weekly specials. If you subscribe to emails you'll get a weekly email describing the special of the week every time I've ordered from this place it's always the same great ingredients well cooked innovative specials and combinations. My favorite special that they've had is the yawkey way. Cheese pizza with Italian sausage, peppers and onions inspired by the sausages outside Fenway Park this special was straight fire. These doods are really cool too you can tell that they enjoy what they do. Go to this place if you haven't!!!!! Another go to for me is the bee sting. Hot honey pepperoni and jalapenos. Shits top tier. ”
“ FINALLY stopped by here today and I'm not quite sure what has taken me so long to do so (it's literally a mile and a half from my house!) but I'm glad I did. For the unfamiliar, it's in the large mill on Mineral Spring Ave BEHIND Lorraine Diner. (Drive to the back of the complex by all the large oversized Art Sculptures) but be forewarned there's no indoor seating, so you're either calling in ahead for pickup or walking in (as we did) and ordering on the spot. I opted for a slice of Pepperoni while my guests had the Chicken Vodka. I know there's some people griping about the cost of their pizzas, 10 for a Coke and a slice; 36 for a whole pizza and 3 drinks; but l've got no qualms about it because the product they're pushing out is downright delicious. Cheese is melted perfectly, the underside is sturdy and cooked just right to support the abundant Detroit style slice. Topped off by a nice smothering of sauce and grated cheese and a nice charred side crust. Great tiny cup & char pepperoni too. The Chicken Vodka (whole pie) was four slices and just as good as the roni. After having disappointing pizza earlier in the day; this small operation that could easily be missed was exactly the remedy I needed to satiate my desire for one heckuva pizza jonesin. On a whim (and not that I could eat much more) their Olive Oil cake was also moist, sweet and refreshing. Now that I know the ease with which I can get such a solid slice, I'll definitely be stopping in here far more often. It's also a lot easier to obtain than Hotline in Providence. Guys inside super nice and appreciative of the patronage! ”
“ We visited Brian's new place this past Thursday and the pizza and vibe was excellent. We met a few of his staff and they were really nice people. I had the special pizza (Bolognese) my wife had the truffle pizza and both were excellent. I had never had a Detroit style pizza before and can't wait to go back. They have a great craft beer selection also. For desert we had the lemon olive oil cake which is dusted with powdered sugar to give it the perfect level of sweetness. They are neighbors to a craft brewery and a craft distillery so you can stop by there after to extend the night. Just a great night out and not expensive for those on a tight budget. ”
“ Go! Try the truffle and mushroom slice. Have the olive oil cake with strawberry compote. Sit with new friends that need a table too. Be very Happy ”
“ Tried A Guy & His Pie Detroit style for the first time. Went with a small Supreme minus the Olives. Comes with 4 slices. Thought it was very good overall. The bake was excellent. Comes with laced edges. Sauce was excellent, good cheese and toppings. The dough was light and airy. Will try a different combo next time. Pizza was ready on time, which is always a plus. ”
“ This is the only Detroit style pizza I’ve had in RI since discovering this type of pizza in NJ. This pizza is sooo delicious! I started out sharing a Caesar salad and garlic bread, which were quite enjoyable. The truffle white pizza came out not too long afterwards. Everything was great, would highly recommend! The olive oil cake was excellent as well. The owner and the staff were super pleasant and very conscientious about how everything turned out. Really great guys, including the owner who told us how the business started. I drove an hour to try this pizza and it was well worth it and I WILL be back!! Keep up the excellent customer service and yummy pizza, garlic bread, and salad! ”
“ Totally different from pizza I'm used to, but this was delicious and satisfying. In the best way, it was kind of like of like a gourmet-ish party pizza/pizza strips thickened up and chewier. That description doesn't do the Detroit-style pizza this place offers any justice, but I hope it gives an idea of what the experience was like. Comfort food but with great ingredients. Anyway, what I'm trying to say was that this was great! ”
